The main casino floor at Resorts World is 110,000 square feet. The main casino floor is slightly smaller than both but the additional entertainment zone and sportsbook occupy enough space to make the technical measurements closer to even. The size of the entire property compares more to Aria and The Venetian than the Cosmopolitan. This feels like it’s the mega-casino/resort style that so many have come to love over the years. The sheer size and scope of Resorts World exceeds both properties. Resorts World is the last of the three new casinos opening in the past eight months. This year the Mohegan Sun Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas opened just off the Vegas Strip at the property that was once Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The casino opened in October and the hotel opened in December. Last year, Circa opened in downtown Las Vegas. All three properties are in different parts of Las Vegas. Las Vegas has seen a few casinos open in the past year. There’s additional gambling in the 17,000 square foot Dawghouse Saloon & Sportsbook that’s being called an “entertainment zone,” plus the high limit rooms. The casino floor alone is 110,000 square feet. The massive property is built on 88 acres of land. Resorts World Las Vegas (Resorts World) is the first casino built from the ground up on the Vegas Strip in more than a decade.
